The Palais Coburg, in the heart of Vienna, is
a fascinating building whose architectural uniqueness brings
to life six centuries of history. Tradition and innovation,
research, culture and forward-looking technologies are brought
together here in a manner unique in the world. The guiding
principle of "Preserving the past - shaping the future"
is a living reality. Relaxing, feeling at ease, the creative
exchange of ideas, thrilling encounters and gastronomic delights
in a historic-modern ambience are all part of this outstanding
concept. The Palais Coburg is a wholly special place.
The Palais Coburg offers nine different events venues,
over a total floor space of 2,300 m². In architectural
terms, they take the visitor through six centuries of building
history. The historically unique casemates (underground constructions
which once formed part of the city defences), the exhibition
spaces in the Coburg Vaults, the magnificent ceremonial rooms
with direct access to the garden, through to the Johann Strauss
Concert Hall - all set new standards in terms of events venues,
using the latest sound and lighting technology.
With a WLAN network throughout the building, high-quality
sound systems, stage and lighting equipment, mobile media
trolleys, flexible furnishings and comprehensive seminar
and conferencing equipment, the Palais Coburg offers the
very latest standards when it comes to events equipment.
In the Restaurant Coburg, the Coburg Wine Bistro and the
ceremonial rooms, the Palais Coburg is home to a variety of
unusual gastronomic settings which offer the ideal ambience
for every occasion.
The outstanding cuisine of Christian Petz, 2002 Cook
of the Year, is complemented in special fashion by the Coburg
wine cellar under the direction of our sommelier Karl Seiser;
the cellars hold a total of 3,000 items from all over the
world, including vintages which date back as far as 1795.
The Coburg wine archive offers the opportunity to purchase
any of the rare wines from the famous Coburg wine cellar,
together with wine accessories and delicatessen items.
